ExpenseWatch offers the ability to identify, capture and more easily reclaim foreign taxes. This article will show you how to configure a tax in ExpenseWatch.
Please Note: You must have Tax Administrator permission in order to manage company tax settings.
Please Note: You can also restrict taxes by Business Unit by enabling Restrict Taxes by BU in the Company Pref.
Creating Taxes - Tax Administrator
Step 1: Go to the Budgeting tab.
Step 2: Under the Taxes section, click the Manage Taxes.
Step 3: The Manage Taxes page will appear. You can create a new Tax under the Create Tax section or edit the existing one in the Existing Taxes section.
Step 4: Enter the new Tax information. Once finished, click Add Tax.
Adding Tax on the Expense Line Item
Step 1: Once the tax is created, when an employee creates a line item under the business unit that the tax is created, they will see the Add Tax. Click the Add Tax.
Step 2: Enter the Amount as usual including the tax. Select the applicable Tax in the drop-down menu and click the checkbox next to Amount includes these taxes.
Step 3: Once finished, click Save.
