There is a set of tools available to edit the image files that are associated with the expense transactions entered into the ExpenseWatch. This will allow you to manipulate the orientation of the image and delete unwanted information.
Image files can be attached to the following types of transactions:
- Requisitions
- Packing Lists
- Invoices
- Expense Reports
- Travel Vouchers
How It Works
Image files can be attached to transactions either by attaching from your PC file system, or by using the Fax feature. With Expense Report transactions you can also have image files attached via the Mobile App. Once attached, image files can be rotated, sized, and cropped as needed. With Expense Reports, you can also associate cropped images to individual expense line items.
Editing attached Image Files
Step 1: Locate the uploaded image files in the Attachments section either at the line item level or the header level.
Step 2: Click the Edit icon, next to the image file name to activate the image-editing tool.
Please Note: The Drop-Down menu (Attach to blank detail) will only appear for image files at the header level. This will allow you to associate the edited image to the line item.
Step 3: The image file can be adjusted by using the controls at the top of the image editing screen.
- Rotate Left
- Rotate Right
- Crop
- Scale
Step 4: Once the image size and orientation are acceptable you can isolate and crop a portion of the image. To do this you need to manipulate the green box so that it frames the portion of the attachment you are interested in cropping.
- Click and drag within the green box to reposition it within the image file.
- Click and drag on any of the arrows on the box to change the dimension of the box to properly frame the image.
Step 5: Once finished, click Save and Close.
Step 6: The image file will appear on the line item.
